‘Air Show’ – A fleet of aircraft soaring in the sky to celebrate the 88th anniversary of the Royal Thai Air Force.

Prepare to record the first historical event in Thailand with a special international airshow, the International Airshow, held in full format for the 88th anniversary of the Royal Thai Air Force, under the theme ‘AIR SOVEREIGNTY THROUGH UNBEATABLE COLLABORATION.’

A fleet of 28 types of aircraft, totaling 29 planes, will showcase their capabilities and perform aerial displays for the public to enjoy for free on March 7-8 at Wing 6, Don Mueang. This event is a collaboration between the Royal Thai Air Force and the air forces of friendly countries, including China, India, Singapore, Sweden, and the United States.

General Thaphas Sornchaidee, Deputy Chief of the Air Force and spokesperson for the Royal Thai Air Force, along with Lieutenant Colonel Nattanae Janpleng, a staff officer from the Policy and Planning Division of the Air Force Operations Department, and the Air Force spokesperson team, provided interesting information during this event. They stated that the purpose of this airshow is to present the proud legacy of the Royal Thai Air Force, which has long been ready to assist the public and will continue to do so in the future. This brings admiration, faith, and confidence from the people, as well as demonstrating readiness to promote the aviation industry and the defense industry. Inviting friendly countries to participate in the flight demonstrations strengthens relationships and fosters collaboration.

The highlights of the aircraft participating in the event include both from the Royal Thai Air Force and the air forces of friendly countries. The Royal Thai Air Force will showcase the AU–23, T–50TH, and F–16 MLU Gripen. The Indian Air Force will perform aerial displays with the world-class teams, including the Hawk Mk132 and Surya Kiran. The United States Air Force will send female pilots to demonstrate the capabilities of the F–35A Demo Team. The Chinese Air Force will participate with the August 1st J–10A and Y–20 (Deploy). The Singapore Air Force will showcase the F–15SG, F–16C/D, and A330–MRTT, while the Swedish Air Force will present the Gripen E/F to demonstrate advanced technology.

The interesting aspects of this event will showcase aviation performances that require a high level of expertise. It will begin with the AU-23 aircraft releasing colored smoke in the shape of the national flag. Following that, a formation of eight Royal Thai Air Force aircraft will fly in the shape of the number 8, performing thrilling and exciting maneuvers. Afterward, the Gripen will take to the skies to demonstrate various capabilities, followed by the F-35A August 1st in a formation flight, showcasing precision, speed, and beautifully organized aerial displays.

In the afternoon, the Hawk Mk132 and Surya Kiran will perform as a group. Additionally, there will be an exhibition on the ground providing educational information and academic discussions related to the aviation sector. All of this is intended to create a memorable impression and experience for the public, which the Royal Thai Air Force aims to achieve.
