Arrest of the ‘ex-husband’ of a famous model for keeping wild animals on nearly 100 rai of land and showing it off on social media.

The Environmental Crime Suppression Division (ECD) raids and arrests the ‘ex-husband’ of Yuiyi Alisa for possessing various wild animals. He confessed to buying them as pets and was caught because he liked to post about them on social media.

On February 27, 2025, Pol. Col. Arun Wachirasrisukanya, Deputy Commander of the ECD, and Pol. Col. Apisan Chaiyarat, Head of Division 5 of the ECD, along with immigration police, officials from the Department of National Parks, and local administrative officers from Laokwan District, Kanchanaburi, executed a search warrant from the Kanchanaburi Provincial Court at a house in Laokwan Subdistrict, Laokwan District, Kanchanaburi, after receiving complaints about the illegal possession of protected wild animals, including rare pets imported from abroad.

Upon inspection, the house was found on a 98-rai plot of land, and inside, there were cages containing various animals, such as kangaroos, ostriches, deer, miniature horses, miniature buffalo, miniature cattle, miniature goats, sheep, wild boars, civets, sulcata tortoises, capybara, emus, foreign breed peacocks, and more than 50 pythons.

During the investigation, Mr. Francisco Cuesta, 54 years old, the owner of the house, admitted that the various animals found were his and that he had bought them to keep as pets on the farm. The entire land is owned by his son, whom he had with the famous former model ‘Yuiyi Alisa Intusamit,’ and it covers an area of approximately 100 rai. In the past, he had taken photos with the animals and posted them on his Facebook and YouTube channels, which led to complaints from others.

Initially, the authorities filed charges under the Wildlife Preservation and Protection Act of 2019 for ‘possessing protected wild animals without permission.’ He was sent to the Laokwan Police Station for further action, and he was also instructed to provide evidence of ownership for all the animals found. If any violations are discovered, additional charges will be pursued.
